Vertical leap training at home?

Add 10

HEY it’s me again xD

I was just wondering if there was any way to like, casually increase your vertical while you’re at home.

Like, when you go up the stairs, you go up tip toe-ing and stuff.

Not that i won’t do the other exercises and stuff, i really wanna train myself in every way, anytime i get the chance.

O and, would walking around everywhere in ankle weights help?
Thanks very much in advance!

all my coaches say that jump roping is a basic tool in jumping higher and having a higher vertical. building up those leg muscles will help it a lot. also stairs can work well I tip toe up mine. good luck.

  3. Walking all over the place with ankle weights is quite a fashion statement you’re making. But increasing your body weight artificially would force your body to make adjustments i.e. more muscle. But having the weight concentrated on your ankles is not the best way to go. A body vest would be best . But during a day you might be doing various movements and to have the extra weight suddenly and maybe you slipped and fell. You would falling a bit harder. It is not recommend to wear weights around all the time. What you can do is perhaps break up a jumping routing into micro bits. Say your daily goal is to jump as high as you can 50 times. During idle moments of the day you would pop off 5 fully focused hard jumps. Over the day you did your 50. Perhaps you can raise that number as you progress. It’ll sure make you look like a crazy person for sure. A crazy ankle weight wearing high jumping volleyball player.

    1. work on your flexibility
    2. strengthen your inner abs
    3. work on your toes (the easiest one)
