    Power lifting is the solution.
    Just Eat and eat and squat so heavy like you almost can’t get up.
    I recommend starting at close to 1.5 times your own body weight and increase it weak by weak.
    You’ll only do 1 rep attempt ONE REP once a week but that is so heavy you’ll gonna almost kill something.

    dont do ankle weights.

    Um… you should sprint anyway. Don’t exercise with ankle weights, at the most just walk around with them, more than anything they will give you immeadiate results when you take them off to play. Squatting is an amazing exercise, but you won’t see results overnight. It takes a while to build base strength but it can explode your vertical.

    i mean squatting,..ankle weights..sprinting..etc all helps but what specifcially can i do for bball? can i just focus on certain key exercises and gain jump?..so airalert is shit?(i heard from pple in nz also said that..me in nz)…..also does body fat count? i mean the lower the body fat the better rite?

    Yeah VJB is great so far. My friend bought the Vertical Project and were hitting it up over the summer. I’ll keep results posted.

    Good choice, VJB makes so much sense (although there is loads of reading to do!!!) but you can skip most of it and just go to the exercise descriptions then start doing the exercises.

    very very true, this man knows his stuff. You remind me of my biology teacher…lol. 2 years ago I got a program from (*#**#*#*). and see little gains. It didtn explain to me how to really do the excersice, and i didnt realise until watching this video what I was doing wrong the who time. Its almost like common sense. If you train for something, make sure you do the right training. My issue was I didnt explode with my excersices and I did to many reps. I built endurance and strength… :(

    defenetily air alert. Because I got screwed over by those assholes. I trained for about 9 weeks and gained nothing :( Going to the gym and listening to advice from guys like this is why I can dunk now :)

    lol its obviousl y air alert your talking about :p it also causes shin splints and knee problems from overuse with a lot of people.

    jeez i wonder wot program hes talking about….. well its no mystery, its Air Alert.

    Air Alert is way too much!! Good for endurance, good for building some muscle & power…but not good for what it is meant to actually do.

    i know what program this guy is talking about. in fact, during this past summer i did it. it was 16 weeks long, and from week 5 to week 11 i saw no more increases, and i had only gained 4 inches to my vertical so i stopped doing it. following this guys principals, i gained 2 inches to my vertical in about 2 weeks, and thats without doing the jump manual, thats just doing excersis following the principles

    I think whatever extra exercise you do, you need to jump normally and agressively during the week to keep balance and apply your muscles. How effective is running stairs for you?
