New Insanity Workout: Interval Training, Plyometrics & More!
Shaun T Insanity Workout (available @ http://www.extremefitnessresults.com/insanity-workout.html)
INSANITY Workout (aka Insanity Fitness) is a 60-day cardio-based total-body conditioning program thats perhaps the most intense workout ever put on DVD. Fitness expert Shaun T drew on his collegiate track and field training plus his subsequent years of experience as an elite trainer to create a program that takes total-body conditioning to an extreme level. Just as P90X is the height of resistance training, so INSANITY is the pinnacle of cardio training.
Why Does the Insanity Workout Work? Secret: Interval Training
Interval training allows you to beat the stress adaptation response, which is what happens when your body gets used to exercising at one level of exertion and stops improving. An interval workout includes a set where you perform at your maximum, followed by one of lower intensity, with the cycle repeated to achieve a cumulative effect. SHAUN T INSANITY uses MAX Interval Training which replaces your moderate intensity exercise with maximum-intensity exercise, and your short intervals of intensity with short periods of rest. Adding high-intensity exercise, during which your heart rate is raised to 80 percent or more of its maximum capacity, forces your body to use fast-twitch muscle fibers not normally engaged in cardio exercise. These fast-twitch fibers continue burning extra fuel even during lower-intensity exercise. INSANITYs high-intensity activity is likely to have you working out at over 85% of your maximum, instead of the lower rate recommended in other programs. As a result, youll experience faster increases in fitness and more efficient burning of carbohydrates and fat—as much as 1,000 calories per hour.

i do p90x plyno x …
i do p90x plyno x because his is better and i do p90x resistance training on cardio power days becasue the only thing p90x hs going truly is you don’t rework the same body parts but the lack of good cardio makes me do insanity the rest of the week and it is truly unmatched so to say workout at a easier rate is dumb because your not pushing your body for change you thing pro athletes could do what they do if they didnt train hard look at football ufc fighters basketball any sport harder you train

Nah, way too lazy for that.
hey Kaydub4, …
hey Kaydub4, although past research has proven what you say true, recent research shows their is no such thing as “lactic acid” in the body and it is not the main contributor to acidosis in the muscle. Lactate does how ever form in the body during intense exercise, but we now know it is not detrimental to the muscle. Instead it is vital for the reduction of pyruvate to form substrates important to glycolysis and maintained muscle energy.
Haha, that grid was …
Haha, that grid was funny,
Doing max reps at max weight is really good for burning calories and building muscles. However if you don’t rest for a long enough period of time, your muscles cant fill up with enough oxygen to complete a workout properly. And with this lack of oxygen, Lactic acid begins to flush out your muscles, and that’s what make you stiff and sore. So, the first grid which showed “Long rest&Short but intense work” is actually much better for your muscles and your body. Duhhhhh
*sigh* everyone …
*sigh* everyone knows this is only out here to rival P90X….instead of 90 days…its 60 days. But P90X is a lot better…its probably the same crap…except 60 days which is why these people dont look as buff
