    5 Hurdles x 3 reps = 1 Round
    3 Rounds with 90 sec rest between rounds.
    This is one exercise of a plyometric work out where you may take 5 or more exercise depending on you ability to train at volume

    well yeah if you want to actually run hurdles. This drill isn’t meant to help hurdlers though. It’s aimed at jumpers. The whole point of the drill is lost if you are running between the hurdles.

    That’s incorrect, the stretch reflex is part of the stretch shortening cycle with the msr a simple response to a rapid elongation of intrafusal muscle spindles followed by a strong (voluntary) concentric contraction of parallel extrafusal fibers.

    This exercise is a classic example and is the very definition of a plyometric exercise.

  25. These are good …
    These are good exercises, but they are NOT plyometrics. These are simple stretch-shortening exercises or bodyweight exercises.

    To be plyos, you need to set off the myotatic reflex, which is involuntary. It is only set off if you lose your balance, and if thats the case, you can’t control the next move well enough to force a strong concentric contraction.

    Good Body weight exercise. Definitely not Plyo.
