Is tennis one big plyometric exercise?

I want to build speed

no not really.. tennis is combination exercise.. the sprinting. the moving side to side.. the endurance and leg work and footwork.. starting and stoping

i think u get most of your power in tennis from your CORE and your LEGS. thats what its all about
so really strech your legs. and do leg workouts in a gym once a week
and make sure u got a strong core with strong abs

Tennis is more about short sprints, not really plyometrics. Plyometrics are used to help with tennis (trust me i did them…they are SOOO not fun).

But tennis is a good way to build speed and endurance because you have to constantly move your feet, like boxing.
