doesn’t that will … doesn’t that will stress your knee. I learn parkour and they said jumping and land with knee that is more than 90 degree will stress your knee
Dr. Tim, again, … Dr. Tim, again, nice demonstration. Can you please tell me how the myotatic reflex is activated? myotatic reflexes are not the same as deep tendon reflexes, but they still are reflexes. If the change of direction doesn’t happen instantaneously, the reflex dampens out to nothing. And if that happens, you don’t have a plyometric exercise. Since it’s nearly impossible to have an instantaneous change of direction, (i’ve never seen one) how then does the reflex get set off to make this plyometric?
Nice exercise, good … Nice exercise, good demonstration. This is a simple body weight exercise. this is not plyometrics. The reason is because while you have the eccentric stretch on the quads and hip extensors, (and maybe the calves, couldn’t tell, he looked flat footed), followed by the concentric part, the myotatic reflex, which is supposed to be involuntary, is not being set off. When you know which movements are coming next, and when you do these over and over again, the reflex threshold is suppressed.
