How can I jump higher in basketball?

I’m a 12 year old boy and I’m 5’11 and weight 140 pounds. I just need to jump like 3 inches higher to dunk. What are some exercises I can do to jump higher?

  1. Your at a good place. Im 14, 6’2 and I can dunk. Dont worry abut getting 3 inches cause your probaly gonna at most grow 6 inches within the next 2 year. Google plyometrics. It would help alot. Try to palm the ball, Palming the ball takes off like an inch and a half. Do calf raises. Set goals. When I was working up to dunking I tried touching the rim. Then I tried to touch it with 2 hands then I tried to grab the rim, Then I tried to hang on the rim with 1, then I tried to grab the rim with 2. Once I got my forearm at the rim I tried dunking. Work on inner core muscle and Stretch your legs a lot. Stretching is very important. Within a month you should have +5 inches on your vertical
